Rising into theaters October 17, 2008
I felt obligated to write a coming attractions article for Quarantine, coming out later this year, because back in the day I wrote one for Diary of the Dead. And Quarantine looks like a complete friggin rip off of Diary. At least it does from the trailer. It actually sounds a bit different when you read it in print. The story revolves around a news crew that gets quarantined in an apartment building when a killer virus breaks out. I'm getting pretty sick of these first person camera type movies. No matter what the premise; giant monsters, zombies, or killer mutant virus. It's all the same. The off screen commentary has a tendency to ruin the suspense. Anyway, check out the movie for yourself. Apparently it's a remake of a movie called REC, and it was optioned before REC was even released. Weird. It'll probably suck ass, but I'm going to see it anyway. You heard it here on Analog Medium - first.
